Metro to Restore Service at Several Above-Ground Stations
Metro is slowly reopening stations after a blizzard shut the transit agency down for two days. Limited underground Metrorail service began at 7 a.m. Monday on the Red, Orange and Green lines. A veteran U.S. Capitol Police officer died Saturday after suffering a heart attack while shoveling snow outside his home on the Eastern Shore of Delaware, one of several people who died during the massive snowstorm.
